Defected have notched up 11 successful releases of their ‘In The House’ compilation series so far. Number 12 comes courtesy of disco house old-timer Joey Negro. Also known as Dave Lee, the DJ/producer is a true disco house hero. And a pretty eccentric guy too. Known for carefully crafted funky house tunes, Joey Negro has flourished under many different production outfits including Jakatta, Raven Maize, and Z Factor (watch the video clip here to find out why he uses so many pseudonyms). This latest mix showcases his production talent with at least 15 of his own re-edits or remixes featured over three CDs, proving he can be as individual a DJ, as he is a producer.

The mix moves effortlessly from early house and disco to funky house and electro boogie, incorporating a diverse track selection. Highlights include Pete Heller’s massive re-edit of ‘Sandcastles’, and Kings of Tomorrow’s ‘Another Day’.
