After a few years of experimenting with different musical forms (Jazz, Alternative, Funk, etc), Darko Veble and Mario Vrbanac met in Amsterdam in 1995 and found Techno to be their common ground; their closest and most intimate form of expression. The combination of a native Croat and a Serbian, the two formed Diskordia.
Daily dedication to the music and many stunning live performances gathered respect for the band at key European venues and festivals throughout the Netherlands.
In 1997, they gained the attention of Amsterdam's Mazzo club who at the time were launching their in-house M-track imprint. Diskordia would release four twelve-inch releases on M-track within a year to unanimous critical acclaim while supported by top DJ´s like Steve Rachmad and Orlando Voorn.
Diskordia deservedly burst forth from the Dutch scene in 1999 and while remaining in Amsterdam, have begun a welcome relationship with Tresor Records. Debuting this new friendship with the "Mala Mazza" EP, the band works multi-sequencial minimalist Techno with emotional twists for the dancefloor. Infectious percussion grounds the work with cryptic sequences and synth drops lightening the heavy drumloads.
