Born in the city of Amsterdam in 1972. He started out his musical carrier as a guitarplayer. For 8 years he was in a band playing a lot of different music styles and performing all over the Netherlands.
In 1995 he got involved with party organisation "Club Risk", promoting party's in all the Danceclubs in Amsterdam. He got familiar with housemusic and his Interest in it grew bigger fast. In the summer of '97 he made his first appearance
behind decks…

Timst'r started out spinning soulful house and garage on the weekly Club Risk Night in the Hotel Arena in Amsterdam, his home town. After about a year he picked up the sound of the 'UK underground', UK garage and 2-step.
Leaders on this terrain, Joost van Bellen and Groove master Johnson soon discovered Timst'r's dj-ing skills and asked him to play on their party's/club nights such as the "Juice" night in the legendary Roxy †, Joost van Bellen's Speed freax and Groove master Johnson's Bubble Club.

In '99 he started out on new dance radio with his weekly Monday radioshow Garage Lockdown, together with Darius (garage producer). On this show they tried to combine the sound of UK and US garage, they had some big names on the show like Dreem Teem, Duane Harden and TJ Cases. Being spotted by MC Marxman as a upcoming dj, they started to do a show on Static FM. This was also his introduction into Dance Valley. He now is a resident on most Dance Valley parties (Impulz, Concept and ofcourse Dance Valley itself). Risk agency asked him to join cause they also believed in his potential.

His inspiration are productions from the likes of MAW, MJ Cole, Cricco Castelli, Todd Edwards, Joey Negro and Joeski&Onionz. Always noticing the dancefloor, he likes to blend baselines and beats with soulvocals and with three decks he is able to make the crowd go wild.

The Amsterdam dancescene quickly recognized his energy and skill. After his set at Speedfreax he was complimented for his daring style and his ability to see the next step in this ever changing music scene. Playing soulful deephouse, garage and latingrooves he will this year perform at Dance Valley main stage.
Nowadays he is regularly seen behind the decks at: Now & Wow (Rotterdam), Winkel van Sinkel (Utrecht), Paradiso and Club More (Amsterdam) and all over The Netherlands and a brought ( France, Bulgaria & Germany…)
