Who and…?
MRZENES or Gijs de Groot was born on the 23rd of December 1975. After a few times playing at some small party’s hosted by ‘Zodiak Commune’ his passion and love for house music grew out and hasn’t stopped growing since.
Whatz Up!
The last few years he played all through Holland and had nice gigs for radio stationslike ‘Radio 3FM’, ‘Fresh FM’ and the ‘LiquidLounge’ a radio show hosted by DJ Goody in San Antonio Texas (USA). At the moment he frequently plays in clubs like ‘Cafe Trace Eindhoven’, 'La Gare Maastricht', ‘FunkiPeople Eindhoven’, ‘Spock Breda’, ‘Lipton Ice Beach Lounge Scheveningen’, ‘De Rechter Eindhoven’.

Style
MRZENES is one of the ‘groovy guys’. Ibiza Grooves, Funky Club and uplifting Groovy-Techno are his specialties. His music always has the special ‘Zenes touch’, so be sure to put on your dancing shoes, when you meet up with his music there's no stopping you!
MRZ Sessions
A monthly concept that is hosted by MRZENES. Every month in the best club cafe Trace he invites the best DJ’s. Only the best groovy and tech-house music that you’ll find. What makes these sessions special is the good atmosphere you’ll find during these nights. This is because of the mix of people, music and location. Location is the popular Club Café Tracé right in the centre of Eindhoven. Your welcome to come, see and listen for yourself . Every first Friday of the month.

Salinas Sundance!!
Next to that he is Resident DJ and member of the organization of the well-known ‘SALINAS SUNDANCE’ party’s on the beach in Scheveningen. These party’s bring more 3500 people a day on the beach they won’t forget very easy. These are the best Sundays of the year. Sun, music, dancers, top dj's, tropical food, drinks and only the best looking people of the universe. No wonder people say "Enjoy you Sunday's at Salinas".

Living out of the passion for music MRZENES brings you a pure mix of Groovy House, Funky Club and uplifting Groovy-Techno. MRZENES is a trademark for quality music that began when 2 music-junkies started of making records together some 7 years ago. Together with his good friend and top-producer Ard de Jong they work on various successful projects. MRZENES is their groovy outlet. Their products have been released in countries like the U.S.A, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Sweden and Japan and are played by icons like ‘Paul van Dijk’, ‘Armin van Buuren’, ‘Fergie’, ‘Jean’, ‘Jurgen’. High notations where made on several national and international charts and several artist compiled tracks produced by this duo.
