Dr.Kucho's musical career started in 1992 when he signed his first record contract with the label Quality Madrid. It wasn't till one year later when his first record was edited. Gradually, more and more of his records appeared on the market. Even one of his most successful tracks from this stage ("Techno City") was included in many European dance compilations.
His career really took off when he left Quality Madrid in 1996. In that year he started producing for bigger labels like: VIRGIN, ARCADE, BLANCO Y NEGRO, MAX MUSIC, MD RECORDS …
In 1998 WEEKEND RECORDS was set up and Dr.Kucho started to work on it by making a remix on the first label's reference. From then on, WEEKEND RECORDS and Dr. Kucho have been growing together quickly, achieving an important international recognition. Thanks to records like "Sex machine" (licensed and edited by SUB-LIME U.K.) "Patricia never leaves the house" (licensed and edited by BUGGED OUT! U.K. and winner of Spanish DJ MAGAZINE awards for the best house track of the year 2001), "La luna" (licensed and edited by CITY ROCKERS U.K.), "Weekend E.P.", "Belmondo rulez", "The chase" (licensed and edited by FINGERLICKING U.K.)…
Dr.Kucho has done many remixes for another labels like MULTIPLY, DEFECTED, SIRIUS, RYTHM SYNDICATE, OFF RECORDINGS, AUDIO RECORDINGS… and also for A.T.F.C, DJ DERO, SSSH, RYTHMA, UNA MAS, MENDO…, step by step, he took his position in the international house scene.
Dr.Kucho's remixer work is also frequently requested by big Spanish record companies ( SONY, EPIC, BMG, WARNER, EMI, ARIOLA, SUBTERFUGE, VIRGIN ) to remix their great artists ( MIGUEL BOSÉ, MÓNICA NARANJO, LOS DEL RIO, GUARANÁ, NAJWAJEAN, JEWEL )
His tracks are played by the world best known DJ's of the like: DANNY TENAGLIA, ROGER SANCHEZ, DEEP DISH, STEVE LAWLER, FATBOY SLIM, PAUL VAN DYK, DAVID MORALES, ERIC MORILLO, JOESKI, HALO, HYPP-E, SMOKIN' JO …
After dropping "Negritos Mogambos" on WEEKEND RECORDS, the awaited "Nosferatu!"/"Mac-in-touch" was released and it got very good reviews from English DJMAG: "Dr. Kucho is the undisputed king of Spanish house".
On 2003 Dr. Kucho! set up his own label: DISC DOCTOR, remixing one of his most successful tracks, the acclaimed "Belmondo Rulez" in his 2.0 version for its first release. This tune was number 6 on DJ MAG 2003 hype chart (UK) and this year has been nomineed to best house track by deejay magazine (Spain). On 2004, the label is going to launch other producers under Dr.Kucho! supervision.
