Dj Daemon started organising with some friends parties under the name Cruisin’ Beats at special locations like the coalmines in Winterslag, boatparties and other locations ….bringing a combination of styles from techno to tech-house.
In 2000, he decided to participate to a dj contest called “djmania”, an initiative of the belgian province “Limburg” and “Four in trance”. Out of more than 69 contestants, 16 half finalists and 8 finalists he came out as winner with a mix of hard techno with electro influences. Dj Daemon was called one of the most promising djs from Limburg.
From then it evolved fast, he played at bigger venues like Rock herk, Enterrock, City Parade, Spontaniously Combustible, Konektionz and smaller clubs like TheZoo, Katsu , Bunker, Zazou and so on.
Because he played on different theme–nights he took on a broader range in music, Depending on the party, he plays sets from deephouse to tech-house to techno. In the softer style he played alongside international names as Darren Roach, BigHair, … and national names like Smos & Baby B, Koenie, St-Dic, Les Craven,…
However dj Daemon also keeps playing harder sets in a style with an eclectic touch . Troughout the last years he has done this alongside great names like Ben Long & Jamie Bismire, Jack de Marseille, Funk d’Void, Phil Kieran, FC Kahuna, Darren Price, Michel de Hey, Paula Temple, Ladida, dj Funk, Xentrix, Redhead, Stanny Franssen and a lot more …
Because of his high technical skills he was asked to give dj lessons in the dj lab of Muziek-O-Droom in Hasselt. For about 2 years now dj Daemon gives these lessons, teaching starting djs the basic tricks and techniques of beat-mixing.
