Damian Keane was born in Manchester in 1971, at a young age he moved to holland. In 1988 his mother moved back to England and it was here that he discovered electronical music. At first he listened to stuff on kickin, production house, reinforced and plus 8 amongst others, later on he was influenced by dj's/producers such as Ltj Bukem, Photek, Oasis, Peshay and Pfm. In 1993 he started to visit london on a regular basis and got into techno via dj's/producers like Daz Sound, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Maurizio, Billy Nasty, Planetary Assault System Damon Wild, Nick Rapaccioli and Steve Stoll. Current influences are Surgeon, Regis, Female, James Ruskin, Dj Slip, Makaton, Cari Lekebusch, Max Duley, Gescom, Fumiya Tanaka, Robert Hood, Maurizio, Jeff Mills and Steve Rachmad. The sound he plays is a result of all the hereabove mentioned influences. It's deep bass/subdriven, sometimes dubby, atmospheric layered techno with a hint of industialism accompanied by "mid nineties sounding" dark electronic (synth) sounds. Together with Dave Miller, Eddy Kreischer and Sicco Bosscher he founded the recordlabel audiosculpture which has seen international support by dj's such
as Steve Rachmad, Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer, DJ Rush, Ricardo Villalobos, Petar Dundov and many more.
He has played most venues in holland like doornroosje, effenaar, 013, nighttown, paard, simplon to name a few and for organisations such as awakenings, traffic, lowlands, integrate and many more. for a complete cv request send mail to damiankeane@audiosculpture.n
