Born in 1971 in the North of England, Paul Bailey aka Paul Damage began his career as a self taught hip hop DJ in the late 80's. He went on to study at the university of Birmingham in 1990, and became increasingly influenced by the more caustic European techno sounds. A year later he started his own club called 'Stuff and Nonsense' This is where he met the people who would later form the infamous House of God techno club.
When the House of God started, Paul Bailey was one of the original resident DJs, where his heavily hip hop influenced style gained him a loyal following. Fellow House of God residents include Sir Real and Surgeon. To this day the same residents still pack the most twisted dance floor in the country and have made the House of God one of the most respected underground clubs in the UK.
In addition to House of God, Paul Bailey also plays extensively in the UK, Europe and Asia. The reaction in Asia was such that a tour of the Asia-Pacific is planned for this year, taking in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia.
In addition to dj'ing, Paul Bailey is a producer and co-founder of the House of God's record label, HOG records. HOG records was started in 1997 by Paul and House of God promoter, the evil Chris, the aim was to produce music which reflected the House of God's energy and intensity.
