Marco Passarani

After playing his music for numerous times on the program we’ve finally been able to get Marco Passarani on the show. Marco’s music is in the record bags of many DJ’s lately and his latest album “Sullen Look” has made quite an impression. Furthermore we call this show a VJ-ology Special as we will talk more about this upcoming event

Marco Passarani
It all began in the early ‘90s when Marco was involved in the Roman radio techno scene and started to contribute to techno raves both as a DJ and playing live. Marco’s journey into the electronic dance scene has always been in a central position owing to the many collaborations he’s undertaken. His very first productions came out in late 1993 on Detroit based label "Generator".

He is well known in Italy for organising some of the countries best-loved parties for over a decade, and is known internationally through his distribution company "Final Frontier". He runs several highly regarded labels including Nature, Plasmek and Pigna (home to Jolly Music, Raiders Of The Lost ARP and Mat 101). Not to mention having a string of releases on other labels such as Skam, Clone & Hyman.

VJ-ology ‘05
On the 20th of May 2005 Europe’s first interactive VJ contest and VJ Festival is being held at venue P60 in Amstelveen (NL). The festival for and by European VJ’s offers some interesting workshops (e.g. Vision Impossible, Drifter TV, SF&I), Vjshows, expositions, symposia and demonstrations of the world leading VJ soft- and hardware. During the VJ contest the contestants can demonstrate their skills within the strong techno–electro line-up of DJ’s like Ben Sims, Michel de Hey, James Ruskin and more.
